Consider Aggressive Online Marketing to Promote Your Home Services Business

When I read this article, it reminds me why I want to build my online Internet marketing business or affiliate marketing online. God bless those who are willing and able to do some of these jobs.

Whether you are a home owner or you rent a house or an apartment, there are probably many chores around the house that you would be willing to pay someone else to do for you. If you don’t like doing certain things, or find it hard to find the time, then many others may feel the same way. You may feel differently about these things if you could be paid to do them: in these cases, it may make them worth doing. One nice thing about these jobs is that they usually require very little experience or little to no investment in equipment.

Lawn care services abound but often times are not very dependable. Dependability is especially important for professionals without the time to properly care for their lawns, and they may need you year round if you offer snow removal in the winter. What about those days when there isn’t enough snow to plow? Well, the sidewalks and driveways are covered with ice and the homeowner does not have the time or incentive to spread some salt on the walks. You may want to remind them of the possibility of law suits…lol

There are many types of home service businesses that you can find a niche in the market for and turn a simple task into a viable business. Many cleaning services say they don’t so windows, but homeowners and businesses still need them done. Inside windows are usually done reluctantly by one member of the household, but outside windows, especially can be a problem for many homeowners. There are ways to get by with little equipment because in some cases, higher windows can be reached with extension devices without the need for a ladder and most exterior windows can be cleaned in short order, allowing several homes a day to be serviced by one small company.

Businesses always want to make a good first impression. Keeping their front windows clean and streak-free is an important first step. Of course, this can be a good business opportunity for the right person. This person could offer services like a pressure washer to insure the entire business front is kept clean and free of accumulating dirt and grime.

If you drive around and look for small plant and bushes growing in people’s gutters this may be a good indicator that they don’t like this type of work. Let’s be honest, gutter cleaning is a royal pain for most homeowners, but one man’s garbage is another man’s treasure. Gutter cleaning may not be a glamorous job, but can be accomplished with a power washer and even a leaf blower. Clean up of the debris around the house at the end of the cleaning can be stipulated into the agreement as to whether you do it or the homeowner does. Don’t be stupid, finish the job right and remove the debris.

One seasonal homeowner service that is becoming more popular is outdoor decorating for the holidays. Many homeowners want to illuminate their holiday spirit through displaying decorations outside their homes. This is only one problem, lack the time. If you have the ladders or the inclination to spend hours outdoors in potentially cold weather putting them in place this is the right job for you. A ladder and some heavy clothing can equip you to open a home decorating business. Don’t forget a good insurance plan too.

Remember the old song, What goes up, Must Come Down? Putting them up usually means you have to schedule taking them down. In-between can be a good time to renegotiate your price - or not!
